NVQ Education

At The Halo Academy, we educate your apprentices through their Level 2 NVQ, in a friendly, fair and creative environment. Under the guidance of City and Guilds, we marry the creative mindset of a leading stylists with foresight to spot trends and shifts in consumer demands to allow our students to become determined, creative thinkers. Our Educators place communication first, speaking with you as the salon owner to understand the demands and requirements of your salon and its growth over the forthcoming years - allowing us to feed into the course of your students specialisms which will be of great value based on how you see your staff and client demands shifting as you grow.

At Halo, we teach all our students a 9-level consultation process, an adaptive and seamless approach to entice new clients while making them feel at home once they step into the salon. It is this in-house curated consultation process which has nominated us for the National hair Federation’s Best Client Experience Award 2018.

TEACHING MORE TO CREATE BETTER STYLISTS

Under our NVQ education syllabus, we implement extra educational landmarks to ensure each apprentice is equipped, not only with the skills to become a successful and demanded stylist, but with the qualities to allow a young adult to respond to shifting consumer demands.

We teach students how to leverage the power of social media, how to efficiently communicate with customers as well as inviting in guests for supplementary modules to teach them new skills. One week, for example, we may invite a guest photographer to teach students how to take professional photographs in varying lights to showcase the best colour and texture; so as to curate their professional portfolio and in turn build the client base of your salon.

We give our students time and attention. With 5 educators to a small class, we teach on an almost entirely 1 to 1 basis. It’s what makes us unique and what makes the stylists of the future.

Level 3 NVQ Diploma

Qualified senior stylists will be taken under the Halo wing to complete their Level 3 NVQ. Committed and experienced educators will guide your stylist through their Diploma, ensuring we communicate on a regular basis with yourself to ensure you understand the progress your staff member is making in readiness for their graduation into the industry.

Private Courses

Should a member of your team be preparing to be welcomed back into your salon after time outside of the industry, whether returning from maternity leave or simply rediscovering their passion for the craft and industry, The Halo Academy caters for these situations. Through a Private Course initiative, we will guide your stylist, or team (should a refresher course for all salon staff be wanted) through a specialised course governed by a specialist assessment organisation. Each Module can be designed to cater for salon-specific needs and we will work closely with you to design a course which meets the gap in your salon staff base.
